Performance and Standards

The Performance and Standards Committee deals with Curriculum and Admissions.

The Resources Committee deals with Finance, Building, Grounds, Personnel, Appointments and Health and Safety.

Each committee meets twice each term. Governors visit the school regularly to look at particular areas of the curriculum or other aspects of the life and work of the school.

Individual governors also take a particular interest in such matters as special needs, health and safety, finance and buildings, but they are all jointly responsible for the effective running of the school.

The day to day organization and management of the school are the responsibility of the Headteacher. Recent matters on which they have focused attention include the implementation and review of our post OFSTED and RE inspection plans; the drawing up of a three year new School Improvement Plan; alongside the continual effort to deliver high quality education within the constraints of a limited budget.
