Science Week March 2022

This week, St Alban's celebrated British Science week. Our children enjoyed a range on 'hands on' scientific activities. Some of these included 'Methane Bubbles' (online science show), 'Horrid Hands', 'Potions and Plants' and 'Super Circuits'. We closed the week with a science themed dress-up day and some children receiving achievement awards for their science work this week. As usual, the children looked fantastic in their outfits.

Thank you to everyone that supported our school during science week, including our returning STEM Ambassador Emilia Angelillo who was recently awarded Gratnells 'Lab Technician of the Year' (Dec 21). We look forward to working with her again very soon.

On Monday 11th October we celebrated the life of our lovely piano teacher Anna Fetzer Pimblott who passed away last term.

Present were; Paul her husband, Matthew Gunn Head of Cambridge Music, Jo Brunch and Sister Gemma both from Newham College, Ruth Burrows our Performing Arts teacher and the children who were Anna's piano pupils when she taught at St Alban's.

Our thanks to our generous PFA who collected for a plaque to commemorate her time at St Alban’s and gave a cheque for £400 to Paul’s chosen charity.
