Arrival and Collection

As the teaching day begins at 8.55 am we ask parents to ensure that their children are punctual. Please note that children are not supervised by staff before 8.50 am. Key Stage 1 children are brought through Lensfield Road gate to the Key Stage 1 playground. Key Stage 2 children arrive via the Union Road gate playground.  In bad weather conditions children are brought straight into school by the teacher on playground duty via their cosest gate.

The school session finishes at 3.15 pm. Children are collected from the school playground unless they are staying on for a specific activity. Those children that are not collected by parents leave the building promptly at 3.15 pm.

Supervision

Any child who is waiting for a brother / sister attending an after school club will not be supervised by a member of staff so requires parental or carer supervision.

Morning Break-Time Snacks

As a school we positively promote healthy eating. Should you wish your child to have a snack at morning break-time, then please would you allow your child to bring fruit (either fresh or dried). Key Stage 1 children receive a piece of fruit or vegetable each day as part of Cambridgeshire’s “Fruit and Vegetable Scheme”.

Lateness
If a child arrives after the gates are closed at 8.55, they must be taken by an adult/carer to the school office via the car park.  If a child is not collected after the gates are closed at 3.30, they will be remain in the KS1 library area where they will be supervised.  All parents and carers must collect their child from the school office.
